Got her home yesterday late afternoon, and began swapping all the farkle over. Got the highway pegs, mirrors, shift linkage, run/turn/brake module, backrest, shifter peg (with rear shift lever delete), timer cover insert, and yes, the SYF derby cover is on. Got to bed at about midnight, my right forearm is sore from all the racheting.
Your forearm should be sore from twistin the the throttle . As soon as the fog burns off I'm taking mine out. The Lions are going to get their azz kicked anyway.
Congrats on the sweet ride Keith! Nice color. Sounds like you still have your King, you putting the WO's on the new bike? I think they'd look real good.

Have to trade the King, unfortunately.
I'm putting 12.5" chubbys on. I love the 14s for riding comfort, but I thought I'd try something slightly lower to see if its a bit easier at slow speed maneuvering.
Your bike looks great, did you get your wobble problem solved?

Prophetic! Got 100 miles on Sunday (and listed to the game!). Put 200 on yesterday. This thing EATS miles.
I hear a lot of chatter about buffeting, but I have to say so far I like the wind characteristics on this bike. I'm going to get a dark LRS for it, but so far no issues - I can hear the stock radio fine, and even tho it was in the 40s for much of my ride yesterday, I was not cold. I'm lovin this bike...

Thanks, had the steering head adjusted and added poly bushings. They weren't installed with the bars, misunderstanding with the dealer. I also cut 2 inches off the windshield. Still get some wobbles with cross winds with windshield on, nothing with the shield off. I guess its the billboard effect of the WS. It also seems better if I run 40 pounds in the front tire. The 12.5's will look great on your bike, I think apes look killer on RG's.
Too bad the King has to go, you got it looking great, actually perfect! Time to move on and start again eh. Have fun with the mods and enjoy the new ride!

Ya dito. I road in to work at 5AM and it was 37. No problems. I was looking at the RG first but got the Ultra only for the edition, I like frame mounted fairings. I gotta say the bat wing is nice. No buffeting, radio is fine.
Congrats - someone is going to get a pretty sweet RK, even with all your bling pulled off. Let me know if you decide to swap the bars/cables back to stock and sell the 14's/cables
Geeze, I never heard it put quite like that before. Usually it is some variation of "pulling the trigger" or similar. Well enjoy your new oil -- and that really great looking RGU wrapping. Congrats and ride safe!!
