Shaving 28 pounds from an 800 pound bike is not worth the high price at least for me. Then there is the experience Boeing is having (much bigger battery though). But a battery fire, considering where our batteries are located, would be highly uncomfortable. I am very slow to accept new technology, I let the more adventurous find and fix all the weak spots.

It would be a large initial investment, but if you really only get about 8 months out of any battery then it could be worth it.
Iam going by my battery, it would cost about $180 dollars per battery every 8 months, at this cost, if I bought the 1500 battery I would meet my investment 5 1/2yrs down the road. If the battery actually lasts ten years as claimed then it would only be half the cost of the regualr batteries.
Now, I am glad at this time, that my regualsr batteries last just fine.
I have been running a Lithium Nanophosphate battery. Amazing how much cranking power it has. Reason I got it was to free up some extra space in my batt. compartment for my tuner.
