Just for pure loudness, I don't think there are many pipes around that are louder than the Vance and Hines Big shot duals. And you can still swap out baffles to make them louder!
Gads! Man alive, I had no idea that cat on the head pipe was like that....
I'd replace that with aftermarket in a heart beat.
Yeah, you can spend the big bucks to replace your headpipe with one that has no cat. Sure. No problem if you have the funds. Or just gut the mother f'er for next to nothing. All ya need is a cutting wheel and a welder.
This way the lenght and placement of the mounting points on the muffler doesn't change.
Because cutting it in half and welding back together could be off.

What, no straight pipes? Heard a few touring scoots with drag pipes on them, you could hear them for blocks away with the windows rolled up. Drag pipes are the cheapest you can get and the LOUDEST things out there. To me they sound like crap but to each their own.
Hey jj do the knockoffs have the same performance as the originals. That is a huge price difference $650 vs. $200! I have always run the fatcat from D & D but for the first time I actually find that the CFR's are pleasurable as well.
I've never heard the knock offs and have only seen pictures of them. I know they have a rivet in the side I don't like the looks of. I just threw that out there in case you wanted to check it out, I cannot recommend them.
Find a sports car "tuner" forum and find that fart can muffler the kids are running on their Japanese cars. Plenty loud and you can't get more obnoxious.
