Yup as many techniques as there are products, use what makes you feel good....just keep it clean.

I think chrome is actually the easiest surface to clean (unless it's in need of re-chroming). I'm old school I guess but good old turtle wax products work great for me. I keep thinking the new/popular products must be better but every one I try disproves that theory?

I'll use a good carnauba wax most of the time (mostly Meguiar's). If there's gack on 'em, or when some discoloration shows up, I'll use some stuff called "Blue Job" I've had for years.

Eagle 1 Nanowax is great on everything I own, even my vintage guitars.

If I'm out of Nanowax, distilled water works great on chrome.

Some stuff made and sold locally here by Daads Motorcycle emporium. Great stuff , not a polish but a chrome wax that doesn't leave any residue behind even on rubber. I have to check and see if he sells on the "net" . I'll check when he gets back from vacation.
