As long as guys remember that chrome is simply a thin plating.....all you really do with it is gently clean it.....if you try to polish it like you would aluminum, you will scratch the crap out of it.
I have always used windex and then NevRDull and buff it out, and the overspray of Lemon pledge on it, and that seems to work.

Check the bottle on the pledge. I think the newest formula is now not recommended for bikes...my wife told me!
I use the old reliable Dupont #7 polish! All us older farts will remember the old square dark green metal can with the plastic flip cap in the middle. It is still available, only now it comes in a white plastic bottle. It works great on ALL chrome and painted surfaces. Just make sure the bike is clean first, apply and when hazed wipe to a brilliant luster.
Geez ... There really are some old farts on this site ... Dupont #7 .... The best damn Chrome Polish in the really crumpled old metal can ( that's starting to rust ) sitting way back in the cabinet in the garage ... It really isn't a garage unless it has a can of Dupont #7 hiding in it somewhere ! ... Mine looks like it was stepped on once, tipped over a couple of times and left out in the driveway overnight a few times ....
you know most people will laugh at that but I've seen it in the hands of a detailer on the exhaust of a truck and he made the chrome look ready for show. Guess its like clay bar, if you know what youre doing the finish will look great.
