What parts do I need for docking hardware on my 2001Ultra. I have removed tour pack and want to convert it to detachable. Everything I look at online says fits 97 to etc. except flhtcui which mine is. Thanks in advance Steve
if it says "except flhtcu(i)" it is probably not a physical mount concern, but one of adapting wiring for the T/P lights or the antenna for the CB.
you can probably figure that out yourself--- since you have already removed the T/P and have an idea of what the wiring is.
I have the detachable mounts on my 09--- if I were to do it again, I would just bolt the thing on and off as it only takes 30 minutes and keep the $$$ in my wallet.
I find my T/P is off most of the year and goes back on once or twice when I take a long trip.
the detach kit makes beter sense if your T/P is on/off many times a year
