Offer $1,000 less and buy number 2...............any red is 10 times better looking than that Duracell thing.
I would recomend looking for a 2009 or newer though.
Slop tailer? Does everyone in ND talk like that?.....you betcha'.
Go for the anny there OP, that way you'll never have to say you have a 'Merlot' Harley.
well I just had a buddy buy a brand new 2012 Limited - ZERO miles for $19200 and $21400 OTD
that is a brand new, limited, zero miles, 2 years of warranty, LIMITED in the merlot and red combo
which was the same deal another buddy bought last year just before new years on the exact same model limited 2012 (one used the others buyers order to get the price match)

that is what you can get down here!
I looked at used ones and thought it was a joke to be that close to NEW, especially pre '09. There are so many used ones out there with less miles and needing to sell.
I think I'd be looking for one that somebody did more mods to. People never get the money out of them that they put in. 'Course I guess that assumes you like their mods.
Personally I don't like the coppertops and don't know anyone that does. It definitely dates the bike and doesn't add value. No question between the two I'd do the Merlot.
For those prices though I'd be looking at something '09 or newer. No way would I get the old frame. When I got my '09 I could have gotten a GREAT deal on an '08. Never considered it.
Make the deal you want, go in negotiate hard, make them wait days for an answer, then go back and do it again. They will come down some, so make them do it.
