Hey guys looking to use a ram mount to mount the iPod nano pictured below on the handlebars of my street glide. However they don't make a specific cradle for this iPod. Has anyone drilled a hole in the back of the clip on this nano in order to mount it to a ram ball?
Or are there another ways people have mounted this nano on their bikes. Any help would be great.

I got a real easy mount for you that won't cost you a penny. Its not permanent but it works just the same. Try this. Plug in your little pin plug in your radio route the wire around the handle bars and plug in the other end into the Nano. Tuck in the rest of the wire into the area where the handle bars go into the fairing. Use the clip on the back of the nano to clip it right on the wire that came from where it was plugged into the radio. This will hold it right where you can see it and you can unplug it for safe keeping. The thing is so light it will never fall of. The clip is sturdy enough to hold it right out front. I used to use the older little Apple Mp3 player like that before the nano came out and it worked great. If I had to leave the bike all I had to do was unplug it and stick it into the bag. Piece O cake...If you need any more info let me know.

Overdoo Not bad. Well I know if I can't find another solution I got that idea. But I was hoping that if I was at a stop light if it was mounted I could change a song real quick. I think with your solution I couldn't do that. Plus I have black apes on the bar and i would be afraid that if it did slide down it could scratch them up. I will consider it. Thanks for the suggestion.
Have you tried velcro I know it doesn't sound nice but might work with such a small player. I have a ipod that I have mounted in my bag lid wired to my radio that I can browse threw songs by using my controls on my bars on my sg.

Ahh another reason I love my new CVO, integrated IPOD controls in the handlebars!!!!!!!!
But to the OP i used to just clip mine onto the windshield bag facing me so I could change it if need be.

the wrap around the handle bars is at the bottom. there is no sliding.. you can change songs all you like. the one I had didn't have a display and it worked fine
