Default Newbie question

I have had several rides but this is my 1st HD. Looking to put true dual exhaust on my 2006 Street Glide and wanted suggestions. Thinking Vance and Hines or Reinhardt. I also wanted to know if the injection mapping needed to be changed.
Any info is greatly appreciated.

As far as the dual exhaust, that is strictly personal preference. I suggest go to dealer, rally, or any place there is a lot of bike and ask to listen to the ones you may want. Most guys will happily fire up their bike for you. Conventional wisdom from most folks is just slip ons and no fuel management required, anything more such as true duals, cams, or aircleaner and it is a good idea to get it

Give the MGS True Duals a look. I love mine. Sound is very similar to Rineharts, but a little deeper at idle and a bit beefier when you roll the throttle. Here's a link to some pics of them on my 13 SG.

And yes - you'll need to have someone dyno your bike after you install your heavy breather, pipes, tuner, etc.

First of all, welcome to the forum. I would advise you to take your time to make a decision on exhaust. You can find numerous threads on the subject here on this forum. You will even find plenty of discussions, arguments, on the subject. But keep in mind, it is all personal preference when it comes to exhaust. Yes some might get you "a little more" that other, but you are not going to notice it unless it is put up on a dyno. I like the looks and sound of the V&H dresser duals and is probably what I am going to end up putting on my bike. The Rhineharts are a little different. The rear cylinder pipe crosses directly over the oil and transmission filler plugs and appears difficult to deal with. Again, all preference. If you are wanting to replace the entire exhaust to include slip ons, MGS is worth a look. They will be a bit cheaper, they are a sponser on this forum, and alot of guys on here love them. Again..... all a matter of preference. That is why I advise you to wait, take the suggestion of another poster and check out the different set ups on other bikes at rallys or gatherings. You may change your mind two or three times before you make the call. The trick is to only to it once! Good luck and welcome to the forum.

100% agree with this advice. For me, it was more like "You will definitely change your mind at least 27 times." Just ask my poor wife - God bless her. LOL

You want true duals? Go with the guys that stake their name on them. MGS.
I love mine.
Add a Power Commander of your choice, have them add the map, ship it, you install it, and your're good to go.

Vance seems to be having quality control issues. Buyer beware.
