Careful Chunker, I don't think you want a cut-rate poorly paid and overworked ER doctor or cancer specialist or whatever taking care of your child. Trust me, it is not the medical personnel who are making the bucks, it is the equipment manufacturers, drug companies and insurance companies. Those of us who are healthcare providers (meaning people who put themselves through years of school and training to touch people and treat their diseases and injuries) are getting paid less and overheads are going up. I am in my 30th year of being in business taking care of my patients and starting January 1, 2013, my equipment, instrument and supply costs are going to be taxed an additional 2.3% to help pay for obamacare. Just one of the many hidden taxes in this debacle. So please, stop and think about what you said and educate yourself and friends as to what we are really facing as the enemy. Sure, some healthcare providers do support obamacare, but I imagine in just a couple of years of this crap, they will change their minds.
The extreme sarcasm font was missing from my post. What I want is the government to get the hell out of health care. All those congress slugs who want the government to control health care should avail themselves at the local VA clinic.

Eat right, stay fit, sell your bike and die anyway! No one lives forever! I sure would like to know where those motorcycle stats came from??? And regarding the smokers stats, no matter what one dies from if they smoked their death goes down in the books as smoking related. You could die from a non-smoking infection but if you have tobacco in your blood stream its considered a smoking related death - so I dont necessarily trust those smoker stats either. When your number is up your going to have to go and it dont matter who what or where!

No problem Chunker. Glad you explained that you were being sarcastic. especially with you being from Alabama and all, I am sure you understand how wrong government involvement with anything can be. And yes, this thread took an interesting turn. Ride safe, keep your ammo dry and maybe the **** will hit the fan so bad and so fast that we can salvage our country before it is too late. Lets pray that we can.
