Does any one have a seal part number other than the chep factory part ?

Keep in mind that the clutch hub nut is left hand.

HD is now a double lip, but Cometic is a double lip seal too.

Since you'll be in there anyway, it's a good time to upgrade to the 45 amp system unless yours already has it.

thanks for the link dawg,, that makes it look alot easier than i thought,,but cant you just impact the two nuts that hold the gears and chain assm, on? thought i would have to pull the clutch in pieces,,did not relize it would come out as a unit,,mabe i will tackel it one weekend,,he mentioned replacing a shifter shaft that the spline tend to strip on,,ant pics of that lil critter,,.
thanks again mike,,.
any way on this forum to save or bookmark this for the future,,???

Do not impact the compensator nut because it could jar the rotor magnets loose. You could technically do the clutch nut (remember its left handed). Unless you upgrade to the 45 amp system which comes with the new rotor.

I'm having trouble visualizing that, and I didn't see any pics in that great series which showed this operation. Does that even apply to an 08 Road King? Could you add a bit more detail or perhaps reference a picture?

Picture a bottle jack, now turn it upside down and put the bottom of the jack against a car frame. Put your inner primary up on some blocks on the ground. Now use the other end of the bottle jack to press down against the socket pushing out the bearing.
