Purchased chrome switch housings for the UC. They came with out any instructions for taking off old and putting on new. Had know idea what I was getting into. One of those mods that you wish you never started. Trying to get the brackets and screws back in, I made up words. Oh, and getting the turn signal buttons back in (root canal w/o novacaine would be less painful). Should of gone with the adhesive ones. Hopefully I can save someone some agony.
Best way to save someone that kind of agony is to recommend that they save up their money and pay the dealer to do it. I wouldn't tackle that job on a bet. But that's just me.

Hope everything works out for you.
I remember putting chrome switch housings on my Duece years ago and while I can't recall specifics, I do remember it being a bitch.
In my opinion, all the more reason you want to do it yourself. The harder the job, the greater the opportunity to 'F something up. Is that something you want the new guy at the dealership doing? Not me. If my bike gets 'F'd up I'm gonna be the one doing it.
I share your feelings. I did it once.....and will Never again ! It takes an ambidestrous, 4 handed Neurosurgeon on tranquilizers in prison to do that job !
