I had a dealer in Southeast Virginia tell me the same thing in '08. He said the '09 model was suppose do be the last year for Glides. Supposedly the custom Glide fad from the west coast drifted east, popularity spiked and the MoCo changed their mind.
What's with you Florida types.....too much sun, heat or citric acid, or is it the salt spray in your lungs ? Probably just closer to the Bermuda triangle.
The Road Glide is becoming more and more popular each year.

RGC ,RGU have been selling pretty well so it would make sense to drop them.
I have mine it should last me awhile.
No dealer knows a dam thing about next year yet.
My dealer isn't Boston Harley, he's actually 2.5 hours from my house.
I would also poo-poo it if this person was just a salesman and also if this dealership didn't go back to the 50's. This is a VERY credible source.
Coming from this person, it has a heck of a lot of weight to it.
I heard that they were going to water cool them and put 6 valve heads on the ones with automatic transmissions right after they fit them with air bags .....
Wow that's odd. I was at the dealership here in TN on Saturday morning and was told the exact same thing. Fltr not available in 2014 bit would be back by 2015. The reason I got was some machine that need's to be in place to test the upper fairing, which didnt make any sense to me so I chalked it up as bs until reading this thread
I've read that on other bike sites however, ARTIE JOHNSON said it best
"VERY INTERESTING...BUT STUPID".
Sounds like a major change is in store. Better buy your antifreeze stock now. Before prices go up.

I guess the common sense just don't make it as far north as you are......
