Hi All,
Not tried this yet but thinking of getting a "Y" adapter and linking my satnav AND my ipod into the AUX socket on the stereo.
I can here the music and then hoping that when voice directions are sent out from the satnav, it "might" override the ipod ????
No, mate - won't work. Two thoughts based on experience, but both have a cost:
1. get a bluetooth headset for the satnav, use the socket for the ipod (RAM mount if you've got no handy holder)
2. Get an Iphone and get the tomtom app - tunes & satnav in one, and the music mutes for instructions. Waterproof case & mount needed - I got mine from BuyBits in the UK, an Ultimate Addons case on a RAM mount. Works a treat, and I can hear the instructions clear as a bell at 90 on a motorway.
