I'll mention it to him. I would love for my bike to perform as well as his or even yours. We'll see. As of today my DD6 and Rev 98" jugs, pistons and rings are sitting here in the house staring at me.
ORIGINAL: PhilM
Ask Bryan where he got his. He has one for that exact reason and it's inconspicuously mounted in his inner fairing.
I had the sameset up on my softail, I bought the rubber boot for the trip/odometer switch and used a 110 momentary switch. you could defiantly mount that easily to the fairing. I actually switched my buttons on the softail so the garage button was on the left....
I know you want a fairing cap mounted switch and I can't help beyond what has already been said. But another alternative, especially if you retain black handlebar controls is the momentary switch that attaches to the lower switch cap housing bolt that is used for the HD fog lamps. It is black and has a rubber boot so it is essentially weatherproof. Buy the switch and wire as needed. With it you don't take your hands off the bars to operate the garage door opener.

Here's an easy way to do it, and it looks good too. I got the moco Auxilary SwitchHousing (P/N 70213-02B left, 70255-02B right), that mountsnext to the switch housing. It has 3 slots for switches on it.I bought another garage door opener from Home Depot, and wired an aux switch (P/N 71718-02)into it. Works great and looks clean!
I am doing the same thing and I just today picked up a small switch similar to the one in the pic, at Radio Shack. I was kind of thinking about drilling a hole in one of the switch blanks to mount it in but not sure how they are held in place. Haven't gotten that far yet.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'll start searching around to see who has what I am looking for. Will post when I do.
