I have read many threads on this forum about having to spend about $23,000.00 for a new Harley and then complain about many of the necessary upgrades to make it fit their style or comfort. They ask why didn't the bike come with a better seat, grips, shocks and the list goes on and on.
I have to wonder if these cry babies really researched and did a test ride or maybe rent one for a day before making the purchase?
I have made more upgrades to my Limited since I purchased it new in 2010 than most and look forward to the next one. I have no problem with the purchase price because I was not forced into the purchase. It was my choice and I knew I would pour alot of coin into it when I saw it on the salesroom floor.
If you don't like the quality and price of the bike, buy another brand and quit ruining my life.
I have had many bikes and brands and they all need to upgraded to fit the owner. Get out the wrench and make her yours or ride her the way she came to you.
My rant is over now, thanks
That is the reason I bought a FLHT EG Standard, is a blank canvas, costs a lot less and can make it into what I want. Is just to bad they don't make them anymore.
Yeah I agree with you on most of your point. This is how HD makes money and they cant make every bike to suit every person. Get the model you want then make it what you need it to be. If that isn't good enough for them then I guess thats where the moaning and groaning comes in....lol.
I can understand your disdain for the type of complaint's you've described, I kinda agree. Especially the ones they say "this should be better" or "that should be better". Then they go on to complain how much the bike already cost. Well if everything that everyone wanted to be "better" was actually better, do you know how much your bike would then cost?
But now I gotta ask... How does another's complaining about his bike or the MoCo ruin your life? Let 'em bitch all they want... has no effect on me.

I enjoy reading about the complaints and comments about how others feel about their ride. Does it ruin my life? No, I was just poking fun at everyone. My wife says I need to work on that!!!
My "Obama Harley" was backordered, so I decided to bite the bullet and actually pay for this one. If the free one shows up I will stop modding the one I have.
