but im talking about the mechanical aspect. the throttle body and mapping automaticaly adjust for more or less fuel depending on add ons or altitude. a carburetor cannot do that. this is the main reason for fuel injection.
On any stock road vehicle with EFI it can adjust for temperature, humidity and altitude, but only within restricted parameters, which ensure the vehicle emissions remain compliant. It is not designed to adjust for tuning modifications or add-ons! The comments we often read here on HDF that changing mufflers, say, will be fine, are not entirely true. The EFI is not designed to do that, we simply get away with it.
Carburetors can and do adjust for atmospheric changes, though not as accurately, nor as efficiently as EFI. The main reason for EFI is to enable very accurate fuelling and ignition timing throughout the operating range, to help meet emissions regulations.
