Supposedly the legend of the gremlin bell recommends as low and as far forward as possible. Ward the road gremlins off as fast as possible.

On the other hand, maybe a bigger bell high on the bike would have kept the Pontiac Sunbird from running us over. Nah...

Mine hangs right behind the rear tire at the very back of the rear bumper.

You are lucky to have a friend looking out for you. According to the legend of the bell, a bell received as a gift will have twice the power when staving off road gremlins than a bell one buys for him/her self.

With all the picturesque paved roads we have here in VT, what in the heck are you doing on the gravel ones??? I know, don't tell me, you live on one I'm sure. I have two ride bells and really can't hear either of them over the pipes and music.

I have two, one from my wife and one from the good looking female Harley Salesperson at the Dealer. They are hanging off the rear saddlebag supports, one on each side.
