I also can relate. I had ulnar surgery at the beginning of the summer, and was not able to ride at all. During that I also picked up a new EGS. I didn't even get to ride it yet! Can't wait till next summer
Thanks y'all. Actually had this surgery on the left shoulder three years ago. I tried to time this surgery during the worst months of North Carolina. Hoping rehab will be finished around mid February and maybe doc will let me get her out and stretch her legs some. I'm very right handed, and this one will be right side. Wifey has told me to "practice"....ahem....bathroom procedures with my left hand....cause she ain't coming in there to do it. LOL!

If you turn your left hand upside-down, it feels like somebody else. (At least that's what they say over on the Sportster forum.)
Best of luck through the surgery and during rehab!

How long does the Doc expect for you to fully recover? Wish you a speedy recovery.
Full, true recovery is about 6 months. But should be healed & rehabed enough to climb back on the RK by end of February. Thanks for the well wishes. Heading out here in about an hour to the hospital.
I feel your pain and i hope you heal quickly. I will be having surgery for the second time in 21 months for the same elbow on Jan 3rd so you and i can heal together. We are shooting for April to get to back to well enough to ride again. Hope it went well for you!!!

Just had my right done 5 weeks ago , 2 yrs back my left , a mother of a recovery , I am right handed also . Timed mine both times for the winter in Mass. Should be ready for the bike in March. Went to look at it though and started it the other day . Oh left hand " bathroom " procedures , " baby wipes" get some you will not regret it , trust me been there done that . My girlfriend told me the same thing your wife did. She was however good enough to cut my steak for me a couple of weeks after the surgery during dinner one nite. Being a lefty when you are a righty ain;t no fun.
