I'm putting done apes on my street glide and I was thinking about using solid handle bar bushings .. Is there much more vibration with them than stock rubber bushings ? Thanks !

There is a little more vibration, but it takes all the "slop" out of the bars. The pro's outweigh the cons, imo. I put solid mounts on mine. Even with the nylon bushings my bars would still move a little. So, I had a freind make me a set of alluminum ones. Mine are totally rigid. Can't see out of my mirrors at an idle but my bars don't move.

I have the Polly bushings on my 14s. My bars still move a little bit when il you pull on them. It's too much work to replace them with something else so...... I'm fine with it.

No, not that i've noticed, but at a stop light my bars dance so much my levers rattle. My Superglide shakes alot at idle, (dealer says, "it's a Superglide, It's supposed to shake."), But with the rigid bushings and 18" apes, my mirrors are useless at a stop. They smooth out right off idle. No numbing of hands or anything. I had the Neophrene, or nylon or whatever you call them,(hard plastic),but my bars still moved. With the aluminun they are solid as a rock.

Get the solids. You’ll barely notice the vibration at first, and not at all before you know it.
