I got the king pak, my rational however was different, on long rides the wife insists on using the hammock, that being the case I purchased the pak to cover up the butt ugly hammock from the back end, when I put the seat on I might as well throw on some lowers, as the cool factor left when the seat went on. It's a twofer.
Actually,T Bags make covers like vinyl bras to fit on top of the tour pak, and then make a boot bag specifically to fit over and attach to the cover that make it just as if not more so more utilitarian and probably give you more room than just having the King as now you can use this part of it just for touring, which is my intention.
The chopped TP was one of the most if not the best add-on mods that I made.
You'd be surprised how handy it is, for one, and being as as it is, I will not take it off at any point.

My little woman is attached to our King TP, she tried a sit on a ride with a razor and then a chopped TP at the local dealer, had a test set up for a trike, she would not go for a lower TP, hits her wrong and she is all about being comfortable, and there is something about less whiney, irritating noise when on long trips!!! Shoulda called it a "Queens Seating" tour pak instead of a King but I am aware why.
