In Australia in 2009 we got the header pipe with the cat and 18mm sensor bungs positioned near the exhaust outlet (about 6" down from both head exhaust ports).
US specification did not have the cat in 09 but did in 10.
Would anyone please be able to tell me if the 2010 touring model header pipe with the cat the US got in 2010 has the larger (18mm) sensor bungs and are they located near the head exhaust ports as above?
Thanks for any assistance with this - much appreciated.
Thanks flhx, much appreciated. I have a real problem that I created. As we got the cat and 18mm bungs in 2009 for aussie delivery I gutted the cat.
Problem is if the 'carbon police' decide to set up permanent yearly exhaust testing I don't have a header pipe with a cat.
What I should have done was to get a catless 09 header off Ebay and keep my header pipe intact for replacement if needed.
Trying to find an intact 09 header pipe here with no luck after months of trying.
2009 California models got cats in the pipes and the larger 18mm O2 sensors near the head. I think the CVO had cats in '09 as well, may look for that on ebay? Might get one in the classifieds here if you ask in WTB section.
Im not hearing any reports that gutting the cat causes the bike to fail smog testing. As soon as time allows Im going to run mine through to confirm it or debunk it. I will post a thread when I run it through.

In 2009 header pipe p/n 66855-09 for California bikes had the cat and the 18mm bungs up by the head.
