Default grab rail

If you guys could give me a hand. I just won the grab rail off of ebay. It didnt come with any hardware to mount it. Im putting it on a 07 ultra classic. I have the adjust backrest. Will I need to pick up anything to mount this?

Thanks

I assume you are talking about the rail to replace you grab strap. I bought mine off of e-bay also and didnt come with any other hardware but I dont remember needing anything else.

Will the grab rail fit with the rear ultra speaker pods? Been thinking about it for my ultra as well...

I just put a passenger grab rail on my 07 Ultra, and have the adjustable backrest too. The rail mounts on the same studs as the back of the backrest. There's only about 1/4" between the top of the rail and the rear speaker pods, but it looks and works great. If nothing else, it beats taking that stoopid strap off everytime I remove my seat.

So I assume why HD says it will not fit on the 06-07 Ultras is that the rails actually fit, but probably when the tour pack is in the rearward position. If the tour pack is moved forward, would it collide with the rails, or are they 1/4" below the speakers?

Also, how much have you guys paid for these off ebay??

The chrome grab rail fits my '06 Ultra just finein eitherTour pacposition. There is good clearance in the rear position and if the tour pac is moved to the forward position - it 'just' touches the speakers. No problem.

BUT --- with the tour pac in the forward position the seat screw is much more difficult to access for seat removal. I just leave my tour pack in the rear position and everything works fine.

That cheap $h1+ grab strap was the first thing to go on my bike. It is useless and just gets in the way during maintenance.

Wouldn't take the grabrail off the Ultra for anything. Makes it very easy to mount a bag on the rear for some added lower back support. No, I don't have nor want the backrest.
