I have some dyna mat material on the inside of my batwing. Can't honestly say if it made a noticeable difference. For the $$ it might be worth a try. With the speakers totally baffled, I'd think you'd notice some difference whether +/- ?

Yup, those are pretty much pre-shaped dyna mat. Hoping someone chimes in on the speaker baffles. Maybe the OP will try them and let us know? Being in WI, I won't get anything installed for a few months
baffles are suppose to help at higher Db's helping to stop cone overtravel and distortion....but the downside is that it takes more power (than without them) to get the same amount of sound at the higher sound levels...So that being said, your stereo should sound better when turned up loud..if you have the power to run it....the way to tell is, if you get allot of distortion when you turn it up around 3/4 volume (above 3/4 you may get amp clipping which is another issue) the baffles may help control the distortion....So, I would give them a try if the above is what you are seeing ..then let us know....
I tried them a couple of times on my 6x9s and they knocked my volume down and sounded terrible at low volume didn't try high volume so ended up cutting up a foam place mat from Walmart someone posted doing a while ago and and that worked good for me
The baffles will get you more volume but the down side is it kills your bass response. Not enough air space. I've said it before but if you want music that you can hear at 80 mph, you're just going to have to go with earbuds.
