We need more info. What year bike do you have? What mufflers did you buy.? There are many different stock mufflers.
But if one of the mufflers is basically a sound chamber with no baffles it would go on the left or primary side.

probaly will only go on one way. most stock mufflers have a dent in them for the shock or axle nut. so if you were to put the right one on the left side you would see this indent on the outside. other than that the open muffler usually goes on the left side.
