Did you change your exhaust gaskets? Also, when was the last time you checked your intake manifold seals? Search the forum for ways to test for intake / exhaust leaks.
Add some fuel values to the 0 throttle position 0 through the 2000 rpm range
That will richen up the idle also as the bike idles at 1000 rpm / 0% throttle. Depending on the rpm breakpoint I would try increasing the 0% column from 1500-1750 up to 3000-3500 by 5 units at a time.
1st things first, check for leaks.
2nd thing, if there are no leaks and you got the PCIII from Fuel Moto give Jamie a call and he will assist you. They helped me get rid of my decel pop. You have to remember that they are in Wisconsin. Elevation and humidity play a part in tuning. That being said I am below sea level and have some of the highest humidity in the country. Jamie was able to help me get rid of the Decel popping! The local tuners that dynoed my bike (2 in all) were not able to get any higher horses or torque out of my bike than Jamie did with his tunes and suggested mods!
First check for exhaust leaks, tight doesn't mean no leaks. There are a few ways to check , the easiest is use a match or lighter around the connections and look for the flame to move.
Next your tune, if you got the tuner from Fuel Moto call them they are the best in the business especially when it comes to customer service.
Next what slip on did you use some have a little more tendency to pop than others. In most cases any pipe louder than stock will pop a little especially under hard decel. My bike is tuned well ,runs great but pops a little under hard decel conditions, downshifting. My mufflers are more free flowing and this promotes hearing it more. It won't hunt anything if that is all its doing
Yeah me too. 50,000 miles. Bike runs great and decel pop since I had Samson slip ons put on. Have race tuner. Had it dynoed and still decel pop. But I like it. It's never had loud what I would call a backfire. Just a nice rumble on decel.
