How hard was it to install the tensioner? I may do this at my next service interval.

Yes I did grind the front lip off.. The tensionor was easy I saw on here that somebody posted a pic he zip tied it together took the bolts out slid right out.. I just searched it on here somebody had a step by step with pics and it came in very handy.. I replaced it because I needed something to do in the winter months and so it didnt clunk as bad!

Not hard at all, the only recommendation I'd have is to be sure you have the bolts lined up & started by hand before you use a wrench. Since you have some chain tension it's possible to cross thread 'em. You don't want to have to buy an inner primary because you cross threaded a couple of bolts.

So noted. Will make sure to start by hand.

I just added the Hayden tensioner too so we'll see how that works when it warms up some.
Sounds like I may want to do this as all the symptoms you wrote about I have except nothing while I'm riding. Thanks for the info.

I also went to 75-140 Spectro 6 speed gear oil in the tranny. That stuff is great. Rotella T 15-40 is in the primary.
