dyna mat helps to dampen panels-

my being cheep, I had a bunch of that floor matting rubber that goes together like a jigsaw puzzle, cut a couple of pieces and stuck them inside the fairing with contact cement.

I also added some polyester wadding that looks like insulation- this material is used in speaker cabinets, and available at hobby shops for stuffing dolls.

helped to dampen some of the low mid frequencies.

Used it in the door panels of my F-250 Diesel Pick-up. 13 years ago and still intact and doing a fine job of dampening the road noise.

This is a much cheaper material and works just as well.

http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=1180 instead of dynamat. Another thing that works is a the material from a dive suit.

Mouse pads glued inside the fairing behind the speakers also works.

I would use peel and seal in the bike as well. Dynamat as good as it is is pretty heavy and expensive. Someone mentioned mouse pads. Have not tried it but I think I would use that on the bike, but not in the car! RAAMmat is a good product as well. But again, for the bike I would try mouse pads then peel and seal if the mouse pads didn't work.
