Default 95 upgrade

I currently have my bike in getting a dyno tune after installing my pipes and air cleaner. i was thinking of doing a big bore kit somy question is since it has to be dynoed should i do the big bore kit why it is there. here is what i want to know keep in mind funds are limited. would it be a waste to do the big bore kit with out changing the cams. I hate to skimp on this upgrade but my funds are limited. If so what cam s do you recomend. the service is being doneat the harley dealer so will most likely have to be harley parts. I am not looking for a hot rod bike but would like to have power in reserve. I am a 300 pound man and will be riding with my girlthis summer.

Either upgrade will help with power - perhaps look into a cam since that will spread the useable power over a different part of the rpm curve - I chose the 26G and feel that it really helped power at the lower end - of course, I also planned to do the big bore upgrade which I just finished and that should be icing on the cake. Again, either one will help and, mechanically, they're not related. The cam job will probably take less time.

Definitely the cams will give you more bang for your buck. At the shop that I had my bike done they had a roadking that just had woods W-6 cams installed with a V&H pro pipe and it got 80 HP and 90 torque on the dyno. Thats as good as alot of 95 builds with 203 cams.

i would do cams too. i would look at head quarterscams, they havea great bolt in cam and andrew 26s are agreat cam too. with 06 stock heads 95 and the 26s, i got 90hp and 96tq. ithits 90ftlb at 2300, 96by 2500 and holds above 90 till 5300, and if youdont want to go gear drive you can get the cams for under 300 to your door.
