Default CVO ROAD kING

I was in the same boat a few months ago. I have a 2011 RKC that I nwas looking to trade on a new CVO. At that point I had approx $4500 into my bike with exhaust, custom seats,SE255 cam and a power commander with auto tune as well as Wild one bars with stainless cables and chrome handlebar controls. I decided at this point the Bike fit me perfect and I ordered a complete set of custom tins and extended saddlebags and a fat boy front fender.I then put HD agitator wheels on her The picture does not do the paint justice as in the sun the orange pearl looks amazing. I probably have more into the bike now than I would have if I made the trade. However I now have a bike that fits me perfect and is one of a kind.Good luck with your choice

If I would have already done my bars and controls I probably would not even be looking at doing it.

Again the price they are giving me on mine is without any of the extras I have on the bike. What I do have I plan on moving to the CVO if I do it.

Me Id much rather put the money into the scoot I currently own, and have a real "custom" ride, that would out perform the CVO, and be my own vision for what my ride should be. To be able to go to a painter, and sit down and discuss every minor detail, and decide exactly what your bike is going to look like, in every way would result in a much deeper bond, and much more personal connection to your bike. Same goes with motor building, find a builder, pick the big-bore kit ya want, pick the cams based on your riding style, pick the exhaust you want based on style and performance, and know in the end again that you had a hand in the work, and the bike is truly built to your wants and needs.

These things to me are worth alot more than the cocky arrogant aura that seems to surrond these CVO owners, who seem to think there the top of the heap. Guys like me, any coutless others laugh at these guys. Because all theyve got is a bike identical to thousands of others, that some **** at the MoCo designed based on his tastes. Id much rather have a bike that the guys at a local bike night hate, and think is wierd, because it suits ME, and makes ME happy.

Lots to think about! Good luck to ya.

Oh btw to the above poster, didnt mean to flame ya, if your riding that triked out Bones, you know what im sayin.
The same could have been said for the GTO Judge or the Boss 429 Mustang. I just sold my 69 Judge and believe me it was worth every penny of the original $332.00 up-charge for the Judge package.

There is a market for this bike and I believe they will pretty collectible down the road.

Funny I love my 08 CVO Roadking. Have had it since August of 07. have only seen a couple of others out there but none that look exactly like it. According to kmayHD I should be running into bikes like mine at every turn. Oh and yes I am a stuck up snob just like kmayHD said you can ask all my friends I ride with. In fact I have a hard time letting anybody that is not a CVO rider even ride with me. AHHH but I do my best to keep the peasant's happy. (give me a friggen break will ya) If ya don't like CVO's or just can't afford to get one then don't. But please don't feel it necessary to rag on people who do.

What are the pro's and con's of the 110 motor.

What other upgrades would I be getting over my 11?
Do it! Personally I think the CVO road king is the best looking and best all around CVO for 2013. There is a ton of upgrades you get and if you price everything out you are getting a heck of a deal.

As long as the Lady on the back is happy with the numbers we will do it. If she is not then we wont.

There are already a few things she wants done.

Higher bars for me

Add the running lights and move the turn signals

maybe swap out the windshield.

Just take a look at the two next to each other for the obvious differences.
I saw a 113 kit offered for the 110 forgot who it was that offered it, maybe Rev Performance...?

So it is looking like I will be getting the CVO Anniversary Road King

I plan on moving my Vance and Hines True duels and Thundermax over to it.

Has anyone else used the Theundermax with the 110" motor> How did it work?
