Default Hard Bags...
When i bought my RKC this past summer the dude i bought it from had changed the leather bags for the hard bags. Problem is, the locks on the bags are no good to me cause wherever he got the bags from he didn't have the keys for them. Is it difficult to change the locks on them? Something i can do myself?

Only thing I know of is to get locks matched to bikes original key at the dealer.I'm guessing it won't be cheap.

Take your ignition key to a local HD dealer, he can get you new locks for your bags using your key. About $50.

looking at the fiche you're looking for:

53710-93 LOCKSET & keys (specify key code) (set of 2) $54.50

thats from ronnies, your dealer might be higher. give them the code off of your existing keys and they'll be matched to your bike. its item 13 in the attached picture.

It's not a big deal to sync your locks, and I like the fiberglass bags better than the leather ones too. That's a good move.

Bingo! What he said. You get your locks and 2 more keys and everything is on the same key. Thats what I did when I went to hard bags on my RKC.
