06 Police Model Electra Glide ??
Any idea what a good bid would be? Also the lens on the driving lights will need to be changed out. Anyone converted a police bike to street leagal before?
Thanks in advance.
This is usually an inexpensive way to get into a "big bike" remember you will have a big hole in the fairing where the police radio was ripped out.
where is this auction at? and what color are they? mostly come across blk and wht. was lucky to come across lux blu and pearl wht. w/gry pinstripe

As an '06, it will still have some factory warranty remaining, which covers the clutch, etc.
If you decide you want to add features like handlebar controls fora radio, cruise control, chrome controls, etc., buy the HD service manuals for the civilian touring bike and the police supplement. The civilian version will tell you how to do things plus give you wiring diagrams; the police supplement will show you the police wiring; it is relatively easy to duplicate the civilianwiring or bypass the police wiring--just takes a little time to check the wiring diagrams.
I don't often disagree with BH; but the police EG has been an excellent value for me, compared to a Classic or Standard. My bike is essentially a birch white FLHX, with handlebar stereo controls, HD cruise control. detachable tour packs (solo and two-up), etc. Along the way, I have duplicated some Classic features but the most expensive of these was the tour pak; an expense I would have had with an EG Standard. I added HD cruise control, but that would have been an added expense as well on the Classic and Standard.
The cosmetic changes I made quickly after purchasewere to replace the police air seat with an HD RK Standard solo, removed the front and rear bumpers, and replaced the hockey puck saddlebag latch with chrome flush mount buttons. I sold all of the take-off stuff on eBay and had money left over for other bling. The solo seat and pillion were $100; the cop seat and parts went for $175, the bumpers about $75. The chrome buttons for the saddlebags were $12 each.
Good luck.

I had the stage 2 1550 done, clutch looked just fine, primary rebuilt and new oil pump (friend of mine was the service manager and slipped both in under factory warrantee) replaced the cam chain shoe's while the stage 2 was being done as well. I've added a king tour pak, sony deck with front and rear hogtunes, some chrome........... and also disagree with Bounty ..........I'm very pleased with mine ,it was very clean,no scratches anywhere on the paint or chrome,no wear marks on the under side of the crash bar(most do from them )have all my service records because the dealer requires all the leases to be maintained/serviced by them under contract.
I'm sure some of them are beat hard and show alot of wear,i picked mine out of 15 sitting on the floor at the dealer, was in the best shape.
Saved me a few bucks and allowed me to get on a harley right away with in my price range. look it over real good !
