Hey guys, this is Brad For Driven Fab, i built and upholstered Deans seat for his new street Glide and couldnt be happier with the way it came out. with the quality of the fat baggers kit it was a breeze to get a seat built and get him fit to the bike so he can comfortably ride with no issues.
i am on a few other forums and ride myself, so i thought this might be a good forum to check out and see if i cant help some people out with custom seats if theres a need for it
Meeting with Brad on Monday to line my saddlebags and reupholster my sissy bar pad to compliment the custom Street Glide drop seat he did for me. My wife also has an appt with him. She has a smoking hot bright blue jeep that she's wants to have Brad custom mod her front and back seats....and whatever other ideas he has. Brad brings cool to a whole new level.
Not any where near the same results the drop seat from FBI is a true 3" plus what ever compression in the seat or if you reworked the seat for another inch.
OP, one of the guys in my HOG chapter has it on a SG, super clean setup and looks good. Even if you dont need it because of reach it makes you really feel like you are in the bike not on top of it
If you only need an inch or two C&C and HD lowering kit front springs and rear shocks) will do ya and less expensive. I got a full 2 to 2 1/2". Worked great for me. Forgot his name but the owner at C&C was awesome to work with....JMHO
My goal was to not touch the suspension to keep the ride as close to stock as possible. While I have accessibility problems and needed the FBI kit...I also like to ride the bike like I stole it. Keeping the suspension stock does that. I'm no expert and just enjoy the sport/hobby. If you're hitting twisties hard and lower the suspension more than another inch...it may be an issue. If you just love cruising and not into scraping floorboards than I imagine it is fine. Just my 2 cents.I spent close to a year assessing every possible option, with my deliver 3 weeks ago. Good luck. Dean
Does anyone regret putting this on their bike? I do a lot of long distance two up riding and want this kit badly but I don't want to sacrafice rider or passenger quality. I currently have a Corbin Dual Tourer and we love it.

I haven't done it yet, but how could anything suffer? It re-positions some bike guts so you can lower the frame under your ***. She might end up riding a little higher than you but that wouldn't cause discomfort. Only way I can see that you could notice a decrease in comfort is if you were unhappy with seat quality. If they don't offer a seat manufacturer you think can make you happy then ask them to supply you a seat pan so you can have your own seat done to your own specs.

Hey Tony,
I couldn't be happier with Fatbaggers Kit. I only bought the subframe and side panels. The seat that came with it is hard as a rock, and I sent it back. FBI is excellent to work with. I had mine custom made by a local company. If you get the FBI kit, I would strongly consider a custom seat unless Corbin can use the FBI seat pan and build the Dual Tourer up from there. Good Luck. I like mine a lot. I did have to get the Kuryakn tour Pak extender brackets to move the tour Pak further back tho. I have the standard FBI kit but the narrow May not require this. In the future I may get a custom solo seat made, I have the FBI touring seat now for two up. It won't be as cushy as ur Corbin tho.
Hello do you have any close up pic of your bike. I just ordered the same drop seat and I was wondering if I should have bought seat with back rest.
Thanks chris
