Lots of people have done this.
Easy way. Take your stock pipes off and keep in case you need cats later on.

Your bike will run much cooler, have better throttle response, and your stock pipes will also get a bit louder and better sounding.

Plug in some Vied's and you have a mini stage one for a bargain price.

Bought mine from HDHeads on ebay. No fitment issue and a decent price. Go for it.

I bought my head pipe from that seller and have had no issues what so ever.

Nothing wrong with Ebay IMO I have done over 100 transactions there and if there is ever trouble they handle it. That's why there is buyer protection and a feedback system, it works. I think that's a fair price if all you need is a gutted stock pipe.

Anybody got any feedback on going with one of these? Are they worth it? I don't have access to gutting my own header or know anyone locally that can/will do it.
Trying to save some bucks with going with one of these & some slip-ons versus going with a complete "performance package". For now at least, mostly looking to improve the sound & cut back on the heat.
thx for the feedback!
I'm considering doing this also. It appears that the eBayer has had success with his catless pipes with good feedback. I read his reviews and sounds OK with me. Like McFrosty, I don't want to drop a huge amount of $$$. Just looking to get reduce the heat and beef up the sound a little with my Rinehart 4" slipons.

I was surprise to learn that my local Harley dealer will gut cats for $100. I asked him if they would support a 3rd party header without a cat, he told me to save the money let them do it.
