Default Headpipe-feedback?

I am contemplating going with a gutted head pipe and came across this on eBAY-
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181055222921?
Anybody got any feedback on going with one of these? Are they worth it? I don't have access to gutting my own header or know anyone locally that can/will do it.
Trying to save some bucks with going with one of these & some slip-ons versus going with a complete "performance package". For now at least, mostly looking to improve the sound & cut back on the heat.
thx for the feedback!

I stay away from ebay myself.

gutted cats show up on our own classifieds frequently

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touring-parts-121/

here's one

I don't know the seller, and there are more.

the restrictions on who can post classifieds makes ours pretty safe bet.

I have never had an issue with e-Bay as long as you look at the seller and the feedback they have. This seller has low transactions and not a very good feedback of 99.1.

Today I find at least 6 different ads on eBay for de-cat header pipes. I purchased one 2 weeks ago from one of the sellers, they shipped it promptly, was as advertised, they had done a nice job, no issues.

Check there feedback, eBay doesn't put up with regular vendors doing their customers wrong.

What's the going price for those on e-bay? I'm deciding what to do with my 09 head pipe and factory shields.

Looked myself, anywhere from $125 to $150 without heat shields.

I went with B&E's gutted headpipe just because I like the way they cut a "window" to remove the cat, rather than cutting it in half. I'm not looking for every ounce of performance from my bike and gutted stockers perform very close to aftermarket 2-1-2 systems from my understanding.

Default Which EBay Seller

I have been looking at the seller the OP asked about who cuts the pipe in half:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/181055222921...921%26_rdc%3D1

And this seller who appears to have an exhaust business and cuts a window:

Two different ways to gut a cat, but which is the best way to do it?

Most people recommend the window. Cutting it in half, for some, made it more difficult to re-install because of it being a tad shorter.

I bought mine from this same seller. Shipped immediately, arrived in good shape. I was very pleased with the transaction and the merchandise. It really reduced the heat on my Ultra. I added a cam when I put the pipes on so can't say what performance gains the pipes provided, but am a little skeptical about 12 - 15 HP.
