Hey guys looking to add Samson fishtails either 36" or 39" my question is what diameter would work best with my V&H dresser duals 2 1/4 or 1 7/8?
any pics of your Samson fishtail with details would be great thanks
thanks alhall88 are those called 2 1/4 longtails. your bike looks great. the 2 1/4 looks like they meet up great with dresser duals. thanks for the pic
Mine are 36's but i couldn't have helped much on the diameter question, i did the whole samson system. The stretched fender on the bike on the website kinda threw me off or i would have went with 33's. Wanted the same look as my deuxe where the fishtail was kinda just behind the bags and that was perfect with the 36 on a softail. But they've grown on me just watching out for the shins
Get the 2-1/4 they match better with the dresser duals. I have the 36'' on my dresser duals

I am looking to buy a Street Glide in the early spring and want to put long fishtails on the bike. I am thrown for a loop now because of both of your pics and discriptions. Both of you say you are running the 36" fishtails, alhall88's are slip-ons and urbancamo's are full. Here is my deal, I won't have the cash to get a full system, so I will more then likely get the slip-ons, but I want the look of the length like in urbancamo's pic. Is it the 36" slip-ons I would need to get to achive the look I want or should I go with the 39" slip-ons.

You can buy the 36 inch fishtails and put them on your stock headers. Then as you get the funds you can either put some dresser duals or the samson headers afterwords
