Default Mysterious trany leak

I have a 10 street glide. I have a mysterious tranny leak. If the bike is on the side stand the tranny fluid will run down the right frame tube & drip right below the right floorboard. The drain bolt is not leaking. Seems like its coming from the front of the engine. Has anybody had this problem? Any ideas?

Check where the exhaust header bolts to the trany, if the bolts are loose then it leaks.

Not leaking there. That would leak motor oil. Already fixed that problem.

Oil filter is dry. Cam cover is dry. I'm confused.

I would second the bolts at the exhaust bracket although you said you already fixed that. But then again you said that would leak engine oil so I'm not sure we're on the same page. If those two bolts are loose it will leak tranny fluid, not engine oil.

Regardless, here's what you should do. Thoroughly clean all of the oil off the bike. Dry it well. Then take it for a short ride and inspect for leaks immediately. If you don't see any leaks, ride it a little more until you do. That should lead you to your culprit.

I'll check the exhaust hanger bolts for the 100th time. I will spray it down with Simple Green. Clean it up. And try again

My riding buddy's 2011 had a leak like this. The dealer finally (6 visits to the shop) replaced the tranny pan. Stopped the leak. It was weeping from a bad casting.

seeps can be found by spraying the suspect area with drugstore foot powder.
it'll wash away from the source.

better to not ride if seep-searching. oil will blow away from the source

stationary with cooling fans on the motor.
