I have a 10 street glide. I have a mysterious tranny leak. If the bike is on the side stand the tranny fluid will run down the right frame tube & drip right below the right floorboard. The drain bolt is not leaking. Seems like its coming from the front of the engine. Has anybody had this problem? Any ideas?
I would second the bolts at the exhaust bracket although you said you already fixed that. But then again you said that would leak engine oil so I'm not sure we're on the same page. If those two bolts are loose it will leak tranny fluid, not engine oil.
Regardless, here's what you should do. Thoroughly clean all of the oil off the bike. Dry it well. Then take it for a short ride and inspect for leaks immediately. If you don't see any leaks, ride it a little more until you do. That should lead you to your culprit.
My riding buddy's 2011 had a leak like this. The dealer finally (6 visits to the shop) replaced the tranny pan. Stopped the leak. It was weeping from a bad casting.
