ok guys i have a 06 road king and just got new harley boom audio speaker lids and now my lid wont latch im getting frustrated any help would be great thanks in advance
Are you are talking about the latch not wanting to stay in the locked (latched) position? I had that problem when I put the new saddlebag speaker lids on my 12' SG. It's because the rubber seal in the lid had not yet conformed to the bags.
I locked mine with the key to keep them closed and after a day it was no longer a problem. And after a week when the gaskets completely conformed, it was just like the stock lids.
Hope that helps!

i got it to close but had to put something between bag to keep it from pushing in im hoping that after it sits awhile gasket will form like you said il post pics shortly
Had a buddy that replaced with a new lid and had the same issue but his still didnt conform. I ended up loosening the 4 screws that hold the hinge to the bag and close the lid, apparantly when I installed the new lid and hinges and by tightening the hinge before closing the lid it put enough tension on the hinge to pop it open. So I loosened the screws, closed and latched the lid, than carefully open it back up without disturbing any hinge mount movement and tighten the screws back. And as said leave it locked for a couple days preferably in a warm inviorment and it should work.At least it did for me.
