I'm going to replace my spark plugs in my '11 Ultra Classic this spring but wanted to know if there is any advantage (more power, better gas mileage, etc.) if I use upgraded plugs, e.g. platinum or gold plugs? The mechanic at my local HD dealer said it wouldn't make a difference. I do have a Stage I upgrade with a Power Commander V control module.

I run cooler plugs...I immediately noticed the bike sounds different at idle. More power? Probably not... the stock ones are fine. .. cooler cant hurt...

 

I've tried Accels, Splitfire, Champion, NGK, and Harley Davidson (made by Who Knows). Ain't seen a lick of difference in any of them.

plugs are plugs, don't matter who makes 'em, as long as they are the correct plug for the bike....except for pulstar, they cost a ton more, but I hear they are so good that if you don't like them they will go as far as giving you a BJ just to make you happy...I am not sure that is true but it is what i heard....
