I don't know why anybody wouldn't be interested, thats a wonderful story. Must be a good feeling to know somebody thought so much of you to give you a machine like that. Sorry about the loss of you friend, but enjoy that bike to the fullest.

What a nice story and you must feel very honored. I think it's great that a church group has a common interest that can strengthen the congregation. Will your friends wife continue to be part of the group? Maybe she will ride with you sometimes. Not sure if you are married but if you are I'm sure your wife would understand an occassional ride.

First I would like to say sorry for your loss. That truely is a great story. Thankyou for sharing that with us.
In todays society it is hard to keep a positive attitude about the church. I was raised in Chicago, Catholic Irish neighborhood, Catholic grammar sch,Catholic H.S., and so on. We were pretty close to our Pastor and a couple of the rev. as well. So, this story really hit home. In fact it made my day thanks!

ok as for power... Icant believe the 103" is only puttingout those numbers. I dont think thats right. you might want to start there.
good luck padre

Sorry about the loss of your friend.
You inherited a awesome Bike.
If I was you, I'd do a Gear Drive Cams upgrade. Go to www.head-quarters.com and read through their web site. Call and talk to Doug at Head Quarters, I'd bet he would recomend going with a set of HQ-0039G's. The HQ-0039G's would really wake up that SE 103" I'd guess you would be well over the 100/100 maybe 110/110 with the set up you already have. Gear Drive Cams installed would be around $1000
Good luck and let us know what you end up doing to get you HP Fix.

Great feel good story. Sorry for the loss of your friend. Thanks for sharing. I would start with putting that back on the dyno. Should be higher numbers.

Guy's 88HP & 94TQ is about right for a 103"with the upgrades that have already been done.He is just a set of Cams away to get his magic 100/100 that he wants.

well under normal conditions, it is best to make one improvement at a time and see how the bike performs.
Everything above are all good suggestions and can help improve the figures.
Personally I would talk with a lot of people in your area that are knowlegable about riding conditions in your area (temps, humidity, altitude , etc) because thes will have an effect to somewhat on your over all performance.
Then personally I would do the cams first. But before you buy double check the opinions with others.
Then like somebody else said. Ride the bike a while and see how it goes.
Save some money and make another change. if result is then down hill and not up you can go back to where you were, and hen try a different minmal approach.
Too much too fast tends to get you in trouble.
That is from many years of automotive performance tips
Good luck on the bike and may the Lord bless you and the bike!

This is EXACTLY right! The HQ-0039 is a "bolt-in" cam for a SE103.They will REALLY wake it up... Those cams and a tune and you would even believe it's the same bike!

2into1 certianly would not hurt, but the cams will help tremendously ~ either way.
