I called VH in So.Cal today telling them about a rattling noise in my right Oval slip-on muffler. I also told them I had 10k miles on the mufflers. Guess what, they're sending me a whole new baffle! Free! Just want to pass this info on. Great customer service!
hawg03......I'm right there with you on the V&H customer service. I've heard a bunch of people bashing them on here lately and I do feel bad that they got poor or unfair customer service, however I've dealt with them for years now with many different brand bikes and styles of pipes and have had nothing but good relations with them everytime that I had to call for any reason. Not calling anyone a liar in the least I just feel sorry that they haven't received the same treatment that we have.
Good luck on those ovals. I had them on mine, and had the rattle. A buddy had them on his RK Custom, and had the rattle. I just switched to Kerker slip-on's. Got more power, and deeper sound. I'm happy! Wish I could post a pic but the PC police and firewall won't let me.
I have only had a positive experience as well. I bought some pipes from a friend, but he couldn't find the hardware and bracket for it, so I called their service center and they said they had it. Accidentally I went to their headquarters. I told them what I was there for and they said I must have called the service center. Regardless, they got me what I needed free of charge. As far I am concerned that is golden...
I had a lousy experience as well. ordered the big shot duals and had to wait because they had been on backorder, no prob. Finally when they arrived, there were two right mounting brackets, no left. I called v&h they told me that was a hot item and all brackets are going out with the pipes. I would have to wait untill all b/o's were caught up. still waiting for part.....
In the mean time I had already made my own bracket. Not a big deal but it's nice to get all the right parts from time to time. When I got this answer from V&H I called parts direct (the retailer) they couldnt believe it either, sent be an entire exhaust labeled "replacement part".
