The small zip ties work for me too.
The key is to install them where they are not easily noticeable. You know where they are, with your snips you can remove them no problem. I also use them on my detachable hardware, tie around the small shaft that prevents the button from going in, works great. I even use them to extra secure stuff on the bottom tied on my rear rack - a little extra security from coming loose on the road, or some joker trying to quick ****** it off when you make a quick stop somewhere. Consider which concels best for you - black or clear.

Kind of takes the "quick" out of quick detach, doesn't it? Is there really a big spate of windshield thefts? I guess you can see I don't spend alot of time worrying about it. I actually thought about doing the zip tie thing before my last week-long tour and then forgot to do it. Low and behold the windshield was still there (as were the saddlebags) when I got home from the trip.

It only needs to happen once to ruin a trip..for me Brukus is cheap insurance. just recently I was in Savannah working. The hotel I was staying at was a nice Sheraton downtown. I was checking out at the front desk and in came a couple who had been staying at the hotel. They had parked their bikes in the hotel parking garage and when they got ready to leave discovered that both of their saddlebags and windshields had been stolen.

Ha! She's stripped off her top for the warm weather in the pic. That's what I like about her, she can go either way.
I'm usually not worried about the windshield getting ripped off, but now I have a stereo on it and I go to a lot of rallys where people know what it is.
