Wow that's different.

I have the LA Choppers Prime Apes which are advertised as 13s. The fairing pushes the air up and over. I also have a 9" shield for the winter months and a 6" for the spring-summer-fall. I find no air/wind issues with this set-up at all. The bars are a great improvement over stock and with the smaller shield it is the first time in many years I am not looking through a shield like I did on my RK. During the winter months it is cold and even with the stock bars good gloves are needed, not sure my hands are any colder than they would be with stock bars.

How in the world do you use your mirrors? It looks like the bars block the mirrors. Also, isn't it harder to control these big heavy bikes with the bars set so high? Just curious.

My 12" get some more air, but not that bad (and I'm a whiner for comfort)

Initially I had the same concern. I just installed PYO 12's and I am finding that with the KW shield the air really is not on my hands anymore than before with the stock bars.

Good luck
