I added a 19" agitator wheel up front, 18" in the rear with matching rotors and chrome forks. I'm planning on doing a full exhaust with PV when I get home as well.
Accessorizing is half the fun, getting the bike to look the way you want it to, and performing a little bit better too.
I'm almost done with the accessories, having just added the chrome front brake calipers and stainless clutch and brake lines, the painted inner fairing, and a couple other doo-dads.
Next up are 12 inch apes, all polished stainless nuts and bolts, and then a pretty radical paint job.
Good luck with your projects, and let's hope for a quick winter.
I just traded my '08 Nightrain on a new Ember Red Sunglo '13 Streetglide, now it's just a waiting game for the dealer to install my accessories and the weather to cooperate!
P.S.- I have one shitty cell phone pic of the stock bike, I'll upload some better pics once I pick up the bike.
Welcome to the club. Once you go Touring you never go back!!! Now get out your wallet and start the upgrades!!
Nice bike, I like that color. Being a garage ornament for the winter doesn't hurt. My first HD was a new '02 FXSTI. It was delivered January 3. It spent a few months being a garage ornament.
Which dealer in Indy did you get it from? I spent 35 years in Indy.
I bought it at Southside Harley off of I-65, the train I bought before was from 96th St. Harley on the North side.
I've had luck with both dealers but Matt at Southside took really good care of me and I'd recommend him or the rest of that team to anyone. Maybe it's because it's winter but they seemed more interested in making me happy than any vehicle deal I've ever been involved in.
