Haven't put the 500 miles on her yet seeing I'm working 6/12's a week...but first impressions of this absolute BEAST are amazing! I'll set the tone with the parts list first:
Revolution Performance 107" Big Bore Kit
S&S 585 Easy Start Cams
CNC Stage 3 Heads
S&S Adj Pushrods
SE Lifters
SE Cam Plate w/High Flow Oil Pump
Thundermax w/Autotune
So aside from the first crank impressions of WOW!! I was pleased that it fired immediately and from the start was running a lot smoother than it did pre-install. once it warmed up the idle dropped right down to 1000 ish rpms and it was smooth as butter. The cam notes were pretty awesome too.
Tech took it for a hot run and upon his return didn't have anything but complete awe for the feel and power. He didn't want to get off it.
Given the fact I was instructed to keep it below 3k rpms for 500 miles then take it back in for a fluid flush, I decided to run A1A from FLL to Deerfield...which considering it was Saturday night, was perfect. bike ran smooth and solid...you can tell she wants to jump and run, but still loves the low side of cruising. I'll get some numbers once I get past the 500 mark, but just wanted to give my first impressions. Sounds pheonominal, idles and runs smooth as can be, and feels like a real powerplant.
Ready for a ride up around Lake Okechobee...that'll put me around 500.
I had the inner fairing painted...but I don't have pics of that up yet. Bike is original color, no repainting. If you're comparing the pic in my sig to the pics in my garage, is just lighting, plus the lowers I bought from a guy that already had them in my color...I got really lucky to say the least! I have to install the painted lower speaker pods...I think that will make a huge impact on the color pop too! I may sell the detachable king tour pack tho...only used it twice in 2 years.
actually that's just their standard aluminum insert (RC Airstrike Czar Eclipse)...don't recall what was causing that to reflect all those colors, but I thought it looked pretty cool myself too! Thanks for the compliment.
