Screamin Eagle Street Tuner
Im using the Power Vision from them with double the warranty and lifetime tech support you cant go wrong. The PV is easy to use, 10 minutes to flash the new MAP and if you want to play with data logging to dial in your tune its also very easy.
If for some crazy reason you do go HD dont but the Street Tuner (SEST) get the Pro / performance (SEPST) the street tuner has limited function and MAPs are all EPA compliant so your still lean
TTS was on par with more support, PV seems to be the leader right now. Price wise these three are close.
False. The ECM has the ability to make some narrow band adjustments to maintain you in the EPA compliant range in cruise conditions but not if you modify or for load and wot etc. the bike is already running lean from the factory and any performance changes you make will usually contribute to this. A tuner will not only improve performance it will coll down the engine and improve mileage over a untuned. EPA lean engine

Plus I get the impression the OP doesn't want to d1ck with this stuff, and from that perspective the Micro Tuner is a lot less expensive and hassle free.

I talked to Fuel Moto and am getting a PC-V. If I change something later they will send a new tune, cool. I might even make a road trip out to their place this summer. I like that area of Wisconsin.

I have a SEPST sitting in a drawer still married to my Dyna. It worked well, but was not nearly as flexible or user friendly as is my Power Vision.
When I traded my Standard in for my Classic last July I spent $199 on the liscense to transfer the PV to my Classic.
There is no comparison from many vantage points between the two, the PV wins hands down.
As the OP was refering to the latest offering from the Moco in the new SEST or whatever they are calling it, it is EPA compliant and gives very limited access to tuning changes.
The MoCo strategists may have spotted the market Xieds (example only) have and figured, hey, lets give em a 1/2 assed tuner for double the money (of the Xieds) and make some more ching.
There are those content with just changing mufflers, raising the rev limiter, and richening it up just enough to reduce heat (and stay in EPA compliance), and could care less about unleashing any true power to be had..........
There are masses that want something a little more challenging than just plugging in some in line trimmers (resistors), but don't want to mess with the devices that offer the full blown tuning capabilites, so wha-la, the SEST (or whatever they call it).
