I have the Air Wing saddle bag rails with the LED light to match the Tour Pak rack and light. The stock operation of these lights are tail and stop. There is no turn signal. I want to convert them to function as tail, stop AND turn. Has anyone tried that?
What I have considered so far is to buy a 5 wire to 4 wire trailer converter and install under the seat. This would allow a left stop/turn and a right stop/turn and a common tail. This might be the only way as the lights themselves are three wire (stop, tail and ground). In my example above, the stop lead from the left light would go to the left stop/turn wire from the converter and so forth for the right. The tail leads would from both sides as well as the ground would be common.
I have the CVO style LED bar on the Tour Pak with its own converter, but the side lights on it are two wire which means the converter is built into the circuit board of the light itself.
