Ok, after (5) calls to Race tech, with (4) full voice mailboxes and one unreturned call, I'll ask the forum a question. For those using emulators, how much tweaking do they need? Based on my weight (225# geared), solo riding and bike (09 FLHT), would emulators need the preload turned? I'm looking at the kit with 1.0kg/mm springs and emulators. One small sales pitch return ("we recommend kit #FEGV S3810") said 15w fork oil and emulators were preset. Would this truelly be a drop in kit? Real PIA to make any post adjustments. Almost makes me just say screw it and go with monotubes. Almost .............
The other option is the Ricor Intiminators. Fabrikator here on the forums will customize them for you as well. I avhe the gold valves in my Dyna bu they are not the same as my forks are cartridge forks. I love them and have not felt the need to tweak them since they were installed.

Naaa. I'd just probably get the kit and call it good for my style of riding. You install yours as set from the factory?
Keep trying racetech. They can get them set right for ya. I have had them in two harleys. Just did the first one out of the box and wasn't really happy. Called them on the second one and it is pretty nice. Running fabrik8r Ricor Intiminators now and really like it!
Louie just called me back. Very informative and helpful about what settings would work for my weight/riding style/etc. Took a little time but worked out well. Will be ordering next week. Many like the Ricor intiminators better but I'm just staying with the basic set-up. Should suit me just fine...
