I bought A 2up sundowner, Corbin dual tour, and a Mustang solo tour in that order and kept them on the bike for for an average of 1500 miles each. The sundowner was comfy but lifted me forward and up, alot it seemed. I Do Not have a Corbin ***, some love em others hate em. But it was the best quality saddle. I love the Mustang solo and the 13" pillion for the old lady. I sold the road king with it on and immediatly bought a new one for the Ultra but with a rider backrest this time.
Every *** is different.
I have the HD Pillow Look for my 05 RK. It is a great all day saddle. We have ridden over 500 mile in one day and have no problems. BTW my wife is 72 years old.
I also have a Corbin Dual Tour heated seat that I had custom fitted at Corbin in Hollister, CA. I really like the heat feature. The Corbin requires individual break in to fit your butt. They are firm, but comfortable once you get it broke in.
I just posted this on another thread but I will repeat it here................FWIW
I bought a Mustang touring seat with the backrest for my 2001 Ultra and it took care of my lower back pain on long rides and no more butt pain either................again remember ALL butts are different and hope you get a seat you like soon.
The all-butts-are-different thing is true. I changed from a badlander to a stock Street Glide seat on my Roadking, and my butt is happy and my back doesn't hurt anymore.
A couple of months ago, there was a similar post. someone mentioned a guy who rebuilds stock saddles for a decent price. anyone remember who the guy was and how to contact him?
I have heard nothing but praise for Allen at mean city cycles. He does a mod which is a reshape etc for like 40.00 or can mod it and do memory foam for like 85.00 plus return shipping. You tell him your size, height etc and whether you want to sit back farther, down, just hurt or whatever and he will custom it for you. Sure is cheaper than a new seat.Mine is off to him aswe speak. www.meancitycycles.com
