I have just bought my first Harley. It a 2007 Pewter Denim Street Glide. It is still at the dealer and am questioning what exhaust to put on it? I am punching it out to a 103 CI and they are telling me that i have to stay with HD pipes for warranty purposes? I have hear the screamin eagle active preformance pipes in the shop and not real crazy about it. Any suggestion would be great. Now all i need is for 30 inches of snow to melt and ride. Cheers!
so they will warranty a 103 kit but not anyone elses pipes?!?!? I just thought of a place to put that 10" of snow along with my size 11 and a six wheeler full of sand
I just bought a black pearl street glide up here in Seattle. I am also having the dealer do the stage 1 103 kit (no cams). For pipes, I went with a Samson rolled oval slip on. I had a chance to hear them on another touring bike with the 103 kit and was very impressed.
The slip ons are 312 shipped from Eastern performance... I paid about 350+tax from my dealer...
I believe these are cheaper than the Screamin' Eagles...
Other options to consider are the V&H ovals in slip ons...
Or you could really get into the "true dual" model with Rinehart's and lots of others.
